Join the Boulder Climbing Community for a spooky evening of bouldering at Monkey Traverse (Crown Rock Trailhead on Flagstaff), then roll down the hill for the Reel Rock 20 premiere at the Boulder Theater!
Costumes are encouraged, but totally optional 👻
Bring your friends, kids, and anyone curious about climbing. This is an all experience levels event.
The Plan
3:30 to 4:00 PM: Show up at Crown Rock Trailhead and we'll walk over to the Monkey Traverse together
4:00 to 6:00 PM: Boulder, hang out, sip some hot chocolate. We'll start packing up pads around 5:45 since the theater is 15 minutes down the hill
6:00 PM: Reel Rock 20 at the Boulder Theater. Grab your own ticket if you want to join for the show
After the show: Find us at Rayback Collective for a drink and chatting about the films
We'll provide
Bouldering pads
Hot chocolate + tea
You should bring
Climbing shoes + chalk
Warm layers (it gets cold fast once the sun drops)
Water + a mug or thermos for the hot drinks
An awesome costume
Your Reel Rock ticket if you're headed there after
Logistics
RSVP here on Luma. We have a permit with OSMP and it caps the group size, so registration is required and it tells us how many pads + hot drinks to bring
Carpool to Flagstaff. Parking at the trailhead is tight
No alcohol at the boulders (save it for Rayback), dogs on leash, pack out everything
We'll do a super casual trash pickup while we're there, fully optional. Climbing + spending time with the community is the focus
Come hang out, meet new climbing partners, and get outside with the BCC 🤙
