Saddle Up for a Night to Remember: The 8th Annual BCC Soirée
Thursday, November 13, 2025 • Rembrandt Yard, Boulder
Dust off your boots and bring your best western flair—it’s time to elevate your evening at the 8th Annual BCC Soirée. This year, we’re tipping our hats to 15 years of the Boulder Climbing Community and celebrating a year of accomplishments in stewardship, advocacy, and community.
Join us for a lively evening featuring:
Old Western-themed celebration: Creative western attire encouraged
Gourmet bites and handcrafted cocktails from Hazel’s, Rick Thompson Wine, and Avery Brewing
A silent auction with one-of-a-kind experiences and gear
The chance to connect with climbers, land managers, and supporters
Kicking off with the Soirée and continuing through December 31, we’re working to raise $100,000 to support the BCC’s mission: building and maintaining sustainable climbing trails, replacing aging fixed hardware, distributing and educating about wag bags, advocating for access, and monitoring raptors in key climbing zones.
Here’s what we’re celebrating this year:
Trail projects at Narrow Gauge Slabs and Blob Rock in Boulder Canyon
Over 1,500 staff hours dedicated to sustainable climbing access
5,000 bolts replaced within 15 years, and 90+ rebolters trained through the Anchor Replacement Program
7,000 volunteer hours given to trails, hardware updates, wag bag efforts, and raptor protection
Successful fledging of two golden eagles in Boulder Canyon
Over 2,000 wag bags distributed to help keep our crags clean
The Soirée is more than just a party, it’s a gathering of the people who care deeply about the places we climb. Together, we’ve made the Front Range a national model for sustainable climbing access.
Save the date: Thursday, November 13 at Rembrandt Yard.
Please join us for our highly-anticipated Soirée. We hope to see you there and celebrate with you!

OUR PAST 2023 AWARDEES
The Steward: Elizabeth Flournoy
Criteria: A volunteer who has gone above and beyond for the climbing community. Enthusiastically dedicates time and energy to the BCC.
In 2023, Elizabeth went from a new rebolter to an integral part of the ARP, mentoring new volunteers, teaching clinics, and supporting the program in many ways.
The Champion: The Spot Climbing Gym
Criteria: A supporter who has been a tireless advocate for the Boulder Climbing Community. A community influencer and donor.
The Spot has gone above and beyond to support the BCC. This year they organized a dedicated BCC awareness month and replicated a BCC rebolted route, Strange Science, at their Louisville location.
Annually all their events benefit a nonprofit partner, often us. They have been committed supporters for the past 8-years.
The Pioneer: Alan Prehmus
Criteria: Someone who has meaningfully contributed to climbing history in and around the Front Range. A mentor and leader.
Alan has been a contributor to front-range climbing for over a decade, developing some of the most popular front-range moderates and multi-pitch climbs including Black Gold in Clear Creek. Over the last several years, Alan has become a champion of inclusivity in climbing, recruiting and mentoring under-represented climbers, and creating opportunities for them to engage in route development. Alan is an avid volunteer, mentor, steward, and developer, who has gone to great lengths to ensure everyone has a place in the climbing community.
Alan also developed the Classroom at Staunton alongside BIPOC developers, mentoring them along the way. The purpose of the Schoolyard is to be a place of education for new climbers. We love that!
