The BCC Presents:
Fundraise Your Way
A Crag’s Ain’t Free Campaign
Mission:
Collect donations for the BCC as part of our Crags Ain’t Free Campaign. How do you elevate your fundraising efforts? By doing the activities you and your friends love to do!
Join us in our mission to protect and preserve climbing areas by launching your own Fundraise Your Way campaign! Host a climbing day, BBQ, picnic party in the park, or a creek adventure with your friends and family. Encourage each participant to donate up to $50 to support the BCC's conservation efforts. All proceeds will go towards our Crags Ain’t Free Campaign starting in September!
Fundraising Goal:
We aim to raise $7,000 this fall to support ongoing conservation efforts, trail maintenance projects, and community outreach initiatives. With your help, we can reach—and exceed—this goal, ensuring a sustainable future for climbing in the Boulder area.

Here are just a few ideas for fundraising activities:
Climbing Day Event: Organize a climbing day at a local climbing gym or outdoor climbing spot. Participants can make donations to join the event, and you can provide coaching sessions, competitions, or guided climbs for added fun.
BBQ Fundraiser: Host a BBQ fundraiser in your backyard, at a park, or at a local community center.
Picnic Party in the Park: Invite friends, family, and community members to a picnic party in a local park. Ask attendees to bring their own picnic baskets or charge a small fee for entry. You can also organize games, music, or other activities to make it a memorable event.
Creek Adventure Day: Plan a day of fun by the creek with activities like swimming, fishing, kayaking, or simply relaxing by the water. Encourage attendees to bring their friends and family. Provide snacks, drinks, and safety equipment as needed.
Yoga Fundraiser: Invite your friends to partake in a Yoga class with you, or maybe a yoga session in the park! Participants can make donations to join you, and you can offer refreshments or healthy snacks after the session.
Film Screening Night: Organize a film screening night featuring climbing documentaries or outdoor adventure films. Charge an entry fee for attendees and provide popcorn, drinks, and a cozy atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.
Gear Swap and Sale: Organize a gear swap and sale event where climbers can buy, sell, or trade their gently used gear. Charge a small fee for sellers to set up a booth and encourage attendees to browse and shop for great deals.
Climbing Competition: Host a friendly climbing competition at a local gym or outdoor crag. Participants can register for the competition and make donations to enter. Offer prizes for winners and create a fun atmosphere with music, food, and camaraderie.
Guided Hiking or Climbing Tours: Offer guided hiking or climbing tours in scenic areas near you.
Private Dinner Fundraiser: Host an intimate private dinner fundraiser at a local restaurant, your home, or a scenic outdoor location. Maybe you want to do a pot luck, maybe you
Jam Band Night: Are you a talented artist who loves performing? Maybe you know some pickin’ folks that you can invite over for a night of good tunes! Have a musical night and invite your friends to enjoy the performances!
Invite your friends, family, coworkers…whoever!
You can invite as many folks as you want for your event. Want to throw 2 events so you can invite 2 different groups of people? Go right ahead!
Here is an example of an email template you can use when inviting your friends or family: feel free to personalize it how you see fit.
Subject: Join Me for a Fundraising Party!
Hi ____,
I hope this message finds you well! I wanted to reach out because I'm hosting a fundraising party to support the Boulder Climbing Community, and I would be thrilled if you could join us! The BCC is an organization that's incredibly important to me, dedicated to local climbing stewardship through initiatives such as replacing old bolts, trail building, distributing WAG bags, and protecting nesting Eagles.
On July 1st at 6 pm, I'll be leading a yoga class at North Boulder Park to raise funds for the BCC's Crags Ain't Free campaign. Your presence would mean a lot to me, and I invite you to participate by donating between $20 and $50. My goal is to raise $____ to support the BCC's efforts in purchasing new bolts for our cherished Front Range crags. All proceeds will directly benefit the BCC and their vital conservation work.
I hope you can make it, and please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need more information. Thank you for considering joining me in supporting this meaningful cause!
Best regards,
